Alleged embezzlement of public funds at the FSKDA: The president of the Dakar Karate League seizes the OFNAC

XALIMANEWS-The Senegalese Federation of Karate and Associated Disciplines (FSKDA) has been in turmoil for several months. Indeed, a deep crisis is going through this discipline which, in the past, brought satisfaction to Senegal.

After accusations of misappropriation of the latest public concerning the athletes’ bonuses that the Ministry of Sports had allocated to the Senegalese karate body, a complaint was filed by the president of the Regional Karate League of Dakar at the National Office of fight against Fraud and Corruption (OFNAC), after having sent correspondence to all stakeholders.

“I inform you that I have just filed with the National Office for the Fight against Fraud and Corruption this Monday, June 10, 2024, a complaint to denounce the embezzlers of public funds or public funds within the Senegalese karate federation and associated disciplines whose governing bodies, namely the executive office and the steering committee, were installed on May 7, 2017. I inform you at the same time that I sent the same documents to the mobile phone of the Minister of Sports and that I will shortly send him a formal letter which will inform him of the current catastrophic situation of karate in Senegal. I filed a complaint because we regret having trusted people who do not tell the truth who are also inveterate in this sense, deeply dishonest and, moreover, great narcissistic manipulators,” explained the president of the regional karate league of Dakar according to whom, the biggest mistake made was to bring the management team to the head of this body of Senegalese karate.
Mr. Diop to wonder if this current management team will manage the enormous sums of money expected from the Youth Olympic Games.

“We made the mistake of putting at the head of these karate governing bodies embezzlers of public funds in place of authentic leaders truly concerned with the development of karate and practitioners who place the practitioner at the heart of everything that is karate. And really it’s sad to see to what extent these leaders tirelessly complain in a loud intelligible voice that the resources for Karate are derisory, pointing an accusing finger at the Ministry of Sports or the State of Senegal for not providing enough resources. to the Senegalese Federation of Karate and associated disciplines. Here we see voices that are diverting these meager resources allocated to the FSKDA by the State of Senegal through the ministry. It simply means that at the head of these governing bodies, we currently have great fake karatekas because karatekas don’t fly. Robbery is simply a gangster business, a bandit business. How can we think for a single second that this current management team will manage the enormous sums of money expected from the Youth Olympic Games. We all know that what they say and do is profoundly false,” says the President of the Regional Karate League of Dakar, who wonders how “embezzlers of public funds” can teach children the moral code of karate. who prohibits theft and the values which underpin Olympism?
