It’s a cause close to his heart. And to carry it out successfully, Charlene of Monaco did not hesitate to travel across France. After Calvi in Corsica on June 7, Prince Albert’s wife went to the Landes this Tuesday, June 11, to Léon precisely, for a day dedicated to raising awareness of the risks of drowning. It is with her Princess Charlene foundation that the mother of Jacques and Gabriella is carrying out this fight. This was the first edition of Water Safety Days in the town.

The Princess Charlene Foundation’s Instagram account shared some photos from the event. Above, we can see the former professional swimmer, surrounded by children, looking at their drawings, giving them diplomas and observing them during the various workshops “introduction to rescue, first aid and water safety on the beach of Lake Léon”, as the caption indicated. In total, 140 children from five CM1 and CM2 classes in the city took part. In addition to a radiant princess and the workshop facilitator, Stéphanie Barneix, ambassador of the Foundation and world water rescue champion, freediver Pierre Frolla, gymnast Kévin Crovetto and handball player Jérôme Fernandez came to lend a helping hand , just like Landes rescue swimmers, and the Courant d’Huchet nature reserve.

Charlene of Monaco, happy with her foundation

Princess Charlene once again got involved in these workshops with young students, and as with each of her outings for Water Safety Days, she seemed happy. Dressed casually in black pants, sneakers and a red jacket, she brought her expertise throughout the day. Internet users were once again charmed by the mother’s involvement with the children. “Great Princess Charlene”, “Thank you very much for the children!”, “The princess never poses and always shows her extreme spontaneity and pleasure when taking photos with children”, “Simply wonderful” or “God bless Monaco”, wrote some of them. Another beautiful day experienced by many children, but also, visibly, by Charlene of Monaco.
