Two years after being re-elected with 61% of the votes in the second round of the legislative elections, the outgoing deputy the first constituency of the Somme François Ruffin will face candidates he knows well on June 30.

The main parties have in fact chosen continuity.

Nathalie Ribeiro Ticket for the National Rally

On the National Rally side, regional councilor Nathalie Ribeiro-Billet will try her luck once again.

In 2022, the young activist, who had only been involved for a few years, reached the second round against François Ruffin.

This resident of Ailly-le-Haut-Clocher is also the creator of a farm market in his village.

François Ruffin for the “popular front”

For the “popular front” desired by the left-wing parties, François Ruffin should be the sole candidate.

The outgoing LFI deputy, whose the name circulates among the possible “prime ministers”is the logical favorite.

But the explosive context leaves a lot of uncertainty, in a constituency where the RN traditionally scores excellently in national elections in which François Ruffin does not participate.

Pascal Fradcourt for the Radical Party

Among the Macronists, it is also an unsuccessful candidate from 2022 who will run for office again: Pascal Fradcourtwho presented himself without a label after the presidential election.

Former deputy mayor of Amiens, Pascal Fradcourt is president of the CPMEthe confederation of small and medium-sized businesses in the Somme, and president of the Radical Party in the Somme.

Albane Branlant for Ensemble / Renaissance

Contrary to what was mentioned, the presidential party has indeed nominated a candidate. A candidate, in this case, who is also not unknown: Albane Branlant, spokesperson for Youth with Macron.

Originally from Vimeuthe young woman had already been a candidate in 2022, but in the third constituency of the Somme, that of the coast and Vimeu precisely.

Michel Lepage for Les Républicains

At Les Républicains too, we (almost) play the continuity card.

Candidate in 2022, Mathilde Roy will not be there. But it was his deputy at the time who was nominated by the right-wing party: Michel Lepage, municipal councilor in Abbeville and vice-president of the CABS (Bay of Somme agglomeration community).

Michel Lepage was part of the quartet of candidates invested by the UDI and Les Républicains and supported by Pascal Demarthe to run for the Abbeville 1 canton during the departmental elections in 2021.

Other applications remain possible until Sunday

At the start of the week, a “citizen committed to democratic life”, Loïc Folleat, sent an open letter “to so-called republican political parties”, in order to propose a single candidacy for the legislative elections. Without effect, therefore, at least for the moment.

Other candidates could declare themselves, or withdraw, between now and the close of registrations, Sunday June 16 at 6 p.m. In 2022, nine candidates were in the running in the first constituency of the Somme.
