After a trial on another farm, it was on the heights of Champcevi- nelnear the Borie Bru leisure center, where Franck and Camille Jubily have found, two years ago, a farm suitable for them which they rent to a retired farmer.
They raise dairy cows and transform much of the milk produced into cheese and yogurt. They operate 100 ha, mainly meadows for grazing and hay production, for a herd of 80 animals in total. They moved their vast processing laboratory, a prefab of almost 100 m2.
Markets and farm sales
Under the name of EARL “Les délices de Camille”, the father and daughter embarked on this activity to fulfill the dream of the young girl, now 23 years old. “I wanted to work with animals”she says. “I wanted to help Camille. Transformation is very complicated alone. I didn't mind it! »says the father, a former restaurateur in Montpon-Ménesterol.
From the start, Franck and Camille wanted to market their products directly to best promote their activity. They produce fresh and matured tommes, lactic cheeses, some of which are flavored, yogurts and dessert creams. They sell in the marketExcideuilthat ofe Coulounieix-Chamiers, a little to Sarlat. They provide primary schools: Saint-Paul-de-Serre, Chalagnac, Eglise-Neuve-de-Vergt, Sarliac-sur-l’Isle and Limeyrat.
In the summer, they participate in Country Farmers' Markets. They also go to a market in Courbevoie, in the Paris region. The farm sale begins to develop well on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. They are present in some producers' stores such as Agora des Champs in Boulazac, Coux-et-Bigaroque, Buisson-de-Cadouin and Belvès.
They were present at the Country Producers' Market organized during Péri'Meuh. They have been participating for two years at the Périgueux exhibition fair to sell their products but also present their cows, jerseyan uncommon breed here where the prim’holstein dominates the dairy herd. This cow combines the quality of milk, rich in proteins and fat, with hardiness of breeding.
The farmers also sell some meat to a few interested customers.
