Since the start of 2024, Seine-et-Marne firefighters have been victims of 75 attacks during their interventions. A sad report which has just been revealed by the departmental fire and rescue service of Seine-et-Marne (Sdis77), relates The Republic of Seine-et-Marne .
“Aggression, even verbal, is not tolerable”
“We strongly condemn all acts which hinder the action of our firefighters. Aggression, even verbal, is not tolerable for those who help people on a daily basis”reacted the president of the board of directors of Sdis77.
Three people responsible for violence against Seine-et-Marne firefighters were tried and convicted in October. One of them received a six-month suspended prison sentence for violently hitting a firefighter who came to her aid after feeling unwell due to taking medication.
