One in three rural mayors is on the verge of exhaustion.
This is the result of a study carried out by the Amarok Observatory, in collaboration with the Association of Rural Mayors of France (AMRF).

But Gérard Morel knows the functioning of the municipality since it is at its third mandate, after having been municipal councilor in 2008 and deputy in 2014.

The mayor describes behaviors of people who consider his work as his due, “with responses more or less selfishwhich only interest them themselves, without really thinking about the community ».
He therefore emphasizes that “we are all in the same boat “, that with the municipal team, “we do everything we can so that our citizens live well at Sens-de-Bretagne”, but that “when complaints and grievances come to you all week long, it's sometimes tiring ».
On the front line
Cet exhaustionGérard Morel explains it by the size of his commune which places him as a interlocutor almost unique. “In a municipality of more than 10,000 inhabitants, the mayor is less concerned by this kind of problem, he has the services to take care of it. But in my case, it's always the mayor. »
