A man died Tuesday evening after being hit by an RER A train at Nation station. He had both legs severed and died from his injuries, franceinfo learned this Wednesday from a source close to the case. According to this source, the man “was relieving himself” at the head of the train on the platform around 10:30 p.m. According to RATP, contacted by France Bleu Paris, it is “voluntarily went down on the tracks”.
The man was then hit by a train arriving at the station. The oar rolled over the victim, severing his legs. The man was transported to Pitié-Salpêtrière hospital with a life-threatening prognosis.
