Mouhamed Diop, coach of the Seniors R1 of Saint-Brice FC, looks back on his team's good start to the season and discusses the next match.
The start of the season
“Preparing for the season was not easy because we have a squad that is almost 85% renewed. Lots of new players, so a lot of work to find cohesion and so that the players can understand everything we want to put in place. We had to take the time to get to know the players, but also for the players to get to know each other. Our friendlies weren't great, lots of 1-0 wins and draws. But after the season started, and things were going pretty well. »

The last match: home victory against Olympique Adamois (1-0) in the championship
“It was a complicated match with an opponent who is atypical in this championship, who defends very well. They usually play in a 5-3-2 low block, but this Sunday they came for us in a 4-4-2 diamond, which surprised us a little tactically. We adapted against a team that poses many problems on an athletic level. We missed a penalty in the first half, which could have made the match easier for us. We go into the break with the score 0-0 then we make adjustments at half-time to respond to them. Secondly, we break the deadlock with a set piece. »

The next match: trip to the Paris 13 Atletico 2 field for the 6th day of Seniors R1
“It will be a completely different match from the previous one, against a team with other characteristics, which is rather playful and brings the ball out from behind. They do a lot of combined play. There is also the factor of the descents of the National players, depending on the people who descend and their number, it will not be the same match. For our part, we are sure of our strengths, and we are going there to take the three points. »
