The city of Saint-Laurent-d'Aigouze supports the Movember movement.
The initiative aims to encourage men to grow their mustaches in November to raise public awareness of men's health and in particular prostate cancer. Since its creation in 2003, Movember has funded thousands of projects around the world. The city launches, until November 30the operation “To your most beautiful mustaches”. “Whether you already have a mustache or decide to grow one for a good cause, send us your photos to [email protected] », calls the city, all photos received will be broadcast on its social networks.
Race of waitresses and waiters
Furthermore, the town of Saint-Laurent d'Aigouze is organizing for the third year the Race of waitresses and waiters, supporting the Movember movement. Appointment Saturday November 16 at 10 a.m.on the Place de la République, in front of the arenas, to take part in this race “open to all, combining fun and solidarity”. The challenge? Travel a circuit while skillfully balancing a board to avoid spilling its contents, under the encouragement of the public and in a friendly atmosphere.
A mustache aperitif
This race takes place in teams/relays of 2 people. After the race, the Café du commerce, partner of Movember, organizes a “Moustache Apero” with brazier and shells to prolong this united morning in a friendly atmosphere. All funds raised will be donated to Movember.. Pre-registrations for the Gaidan tobacco race. Registration on site, the same morning before departure. 10€ per person, cap offered to participants.
