The second day of the Euronaval 2024 show was full of significant events, between ministerial visits, signing of major contracts and celebrations of naval innovation. Discussions, conferences and award ceremonies punctuated the show program.
Euronaval 2024: official visits for this second day
In the morning, the Minister of the Sea, Fabrice Loher, visited the Euronaval show, accompanied by a delegation from France Insoumise, members of the defense committee of the National Assembly. Strategic contracts have been signed, such as the agreement between the Dutch Ministry of Defense and Airbus Hélicoptère for 12 H225M helicopters, demonstrating the importance of partnerships to strengthen defense capabilities.
The day was marked by large-scale industrial agreements. Naval Group, in collaboration with TechnicAtome and Segault, is committed to the maintenance and manufacturing of components for new generation nuclear-powered ships. We also note a signing between the Ministry of Defense of Montenegro and Kership of a contract for the supply of two high seas patrol boats.
The EURONAVAL Awards took place!
The EURONAVAL Awards, presented at midday, honored the most innovative projects in the sector. Among the winners, MC2 Technologies stood out with “SPART”, a defense innovation, while the startup TIDAV was rewarded for its “T-H3” tool in the SEAnnovation category..

• EURONAVAL ICT Innovation Prize: Amphenol for “HDMI AOC Extenders”
• Artificial Intelligence Prize: AILiveSim for “Next Generation Simulation for Autonomous Development”
Conferences punctuated the day at the Euronaval show: the morning focused on the question “European shipbuilding, where are we?” », while the afternoon was devoted to the theme “Industry serving multinational maritime operations”. These exchanges offered participants a unique setting to share their perspectives, with interviews broadcast live, like that of the CEO of Thales, Patrice Caine, as well as Admiral Nicolas Vaujour, Chief of Staff of the Navy and Emmanuel Chiva, General Delegate of Armaments.
