Artisans Activists for Quality whet Château Arton’s appetite
and meet all Gers epicureans for an exceptional culinary experience!
On the occasion of the 21st edition of its Open Days, Château Arton welcomes, on Saturday 30
November and Sunday December 1st, the second edition of the Marché Complice du Gers, with the
support from Lectoure Town Hall and the Collège Culinaire de France. The concept? A food court where
multiple stands will allow you to discover chefs, producers and flavors of our regions, in a
prestigious decor and a joyful hubbub.
A gourmet event not to be missed
For the second year in a row, Château Arton is the accomplice of the Culinary College of
France to host this unmissable event dedicated to culinary craftsmanship. This year, he puts
in the spotlight nearly 30 Quality Artisans Activists, from Occitanie and
New Aquitaine, for the greatest pleasure of the taste buds! Imagined as a real festival
cuisine of the South-West, this unique gathering of gastronomic gems, just a few weeks away
Christmas, is the ideal place to prepare festive meals and do your gift shopping. Each
year, the selection of exhibitors changes and the format innovates! Far from being a weekly market
traditional, it brings together artisanal products of excellence that can be found on the tables of the most
great leaders.
A “food court” that works miracles
For the first time in the Gers, Armagnacais and the Collège Culinaire de France are importing
Lectoure a tradition from elsewhere: that of the dining hall which revolutionizes the experience
culinary by offering gastronomic diversity under one roof… Here, eat, drink, and experience
cultural moments become a collective adventure.
During this gourmet weekend, the cellars of the Arton estate are transformed into a delicatessen and
quality food court to bring together, in an exceptional setting, exciting and passionate artisans
which will offer a culinary diversity to enjoy in complete freedom. The Château Arton food court is a friendly place where culinary and cultural richness are essential,
for the greatest happiness of all. Because everyone is free to enjoy what they like, to eat on the go or to sit down with their tribe for an overview of local know-how.
An exceptional terroir
Located on the Lectoure plateau, in the heart of Gascony, the estate extends over 88 hectares and
favors permaculture to offer an authentic local experience. This confidential land,
wiped out by phylloxera in the 19th century, was reborn in Lectoure in 1991, thanks to the Montal-Montesquiou family, descendants of d'Artagnan.
From vines to wine and from wine to Armagnac, the vineyard has converted to biodynamics, placing the living
at the heart of its agriculture. Château Arton gives nature back its freedom and preserves the
living his signature.
A weekend also punctuated by numerous activities :
Visit to the estate, gardens and permaculture vineyard
Presentation of biodynamic agricultural practices
Visit to the Armagnac Château Arton cellars
Wine and Armagnac tasting
Raffle Saturday/Sunday
And a free welcome drink!
