The primary function of the calendar is to indicate the dates, however, for the end of year holidays many of them go out of the ordinary to raise funds or highlight a good cause or a profession such as that of a farmer. . After Mélissa last year, cocorico again, it's Kyria who represents Ariège on the Belles des Prés 2025 calendar! She transformed herself into a model for a day for a good cause because part of the sales of this calendar supports the association “Petit Coup d'Pouce à la Ferme” by financing eco-responsible and innovative projects carried out by women of the agricultural world. Based with her partner Manu in the hamlet of Teule, in Montjoie-En-Couserans, Kyria has been running a mixed-culture farm for 8 years, combining her work on the land with a unique adventure: their farm restaurant, La Table de Gaya.
6 years ago we took on a challenge: Why not set up a farm restaurant, a continuation of my work on the land… She passes her CAP in cooking and embarks on another adventure, “a big poker game” as she says. With 80% of products from their farm, meat, eggs, vegetables, fruit… they tick the “farmer restaurant” box with flying colors. The rest comes from local, organic and fair trade producers, within the limits of what is possible in France, for the others. Kyria gets into the game, “this cuisine represents me, taste, colors and resolutely feminine”.
Why the “Belles des Prés” calendar? “First, to defend the place of women in agriculture. There are more and more of them but they still face prejudice in this demanding profession. And helping these women to settle in, as the calendar does, means a lot to me. Then, to take on a personal challenge, I worked in fashion and was a model, so posing in work clothes, feminine and authentic, was natural for me. This calendar pays homage to women in agriculture, and this homage to me. is close to my heart.”
