He was transported to the hospital center in a state of absolute emergency. A 16-year-old teenager was seriously injured after being stabbed on Sunday, November 3 in Gravelines (North), by two individuals, a police source told Le Parisien and the Dunkirk public prosecutor's office, confirming information from Delta FM.

An investigation was opened for “attempted murder” by the Dunkirk public prosecutor’s office. She was entrusted to the personal violence brigade of the local Dunkirk judicial police department. In this case, three suspects, aged 14, 16 and 17, were arrested and placed in police custody, indicates Charlotte Huet, Dunkirk public prosecutor to Le Parisien.

An open investigation

Sunday afternoon, around 4 p.m., the victim was on avenue Léon-Jouhaux, near a bus stop, in Gravelines, when she was stabbed in the abdomen by two individuals, who immediately fled, according to this police source.

Seriously injured, the young man was taken care of by emergency services. He was transported to the Dunkirk hospital center in a state of absolute emergency. The victim's vital prognosis is no longer in jeopardy, the prosecutor indicated to Le Parisien, this Sunday evening.

The police quickly began looking for the two attackers, thanks to a physical description from several witnesses. The two suspects, aged 16 and 17, were arrested around fifteen minutes later near the scene of the attack, the same source said. They both had blood alcohol levels slightly below one gram per liter of blood, according to our information.

Another investigation opened for violence the day before

They were taken into custody with a third suspect, aged 14. The three accused are also placed in police custody for violence committed the day before, Saturday November 2, in a field east of the town of Gravelines against a 16-year-old teenager.

“These are facts for which the Dunkirk public prosecutor's office opened a separate investigation for intentional violence leading to incapacity for work for more than 8 days, aggravated by three circumstances, committed to the detriment of another sixteen-year-old minor,” said Charlotte Huet. For these latest facts, two other people were also taken into custody, a 19-year-old young man and a 16-year-old teenager.

“The investigations are continuing and are intended to clarify the circumstances of the commission of the facts and in particular their possible connection, their motivation, and the link between the accused and the victims,” continues the prosecutor to Le Parisien.
