Returning to Tarn-et-Garonne on Saturday morning after this dangerous trip to Kharkiv, the president of Occitalien immediately launched an operation to help the victims, who number in the thousands in the South-East of the Spain.

“We are launching a department-wide collection. In the same way as we did for Morocco, we got in touch with an association based in Paiporta, one of the municipalities of the suburbs of Valencia which paid the heaviest price. We hope to bring 10 to 20 tonnes of humanitarian aid there, given the situation there, this is emergency equipment (1) and hygiene products. which the population needs most, but we also collect logistics (2), food (3), clean clothing in good condition and childcare equipment.”
Pascal Serrier feels to what extent this tragedy has affected the Tarn-et-Garonnais. “We have strong ties with Spain. Since Saturday that we launched the operation, we have received a lot of calls, emails, people who want to make donations.”
