Saturday October 26, 2024, the town of Ruffec-le-Château hosted the departmental congress of French Remembrance in the village hall. After the welcome from the deputy mayor, Antoine Doiron, and the president of the Blanc du Souvenir français committee, Yves Gaitanaros-Bordessolles, they are in turn the general delegate Jacques Gaultier; the deputy general delegate René Brossard, the departmental secretary Brigitte Labergère and the departmental treasurer Christian Ottan who took the floor to discuss different themes.
Maintenance of graves
Among these, the maintenance of graves in the various cemeteries of the department, the military squares, the next national congress in Rennes. The amount of 2025 contributions remains the same. This morning concluded with a presentation of medals and diplomas to several members to reward their actions within French Remembrance and with a parade to the commune cemetery, with a laying of wreaths, followed by a friendly meal at the party room. The next departmental congress will take place in 2025 in Valençay.
