An illegal rave party blocked by the Oise gendarmes, a young person dies on the way back

It is in a field in the small town of Saint-Pierre-lès-Bitryin the east of Oise, on the border with Aisne, that revelers had planned to meet, on the evening of Saturday November 2, 2024, to participate in a rave-party illegal.

Very quickly, the police were alerted to the presence of a few dozen people on the plot. Around twenty soldiers then went there with the aim of blocking the holding of this unauthorized festive gathering.

Faced with the presence of the police, the participants preferred to leave the area to head towards Aisne.

A participant dies from an accident

But the journey turns into drama since one of them is deceased of a traffic accident after leaving the failed rave party, indicates The Union.

The motorist, aged 25, made a leaving the road tragic in Margival, between Soissons and Laon, before hitting a tree, around 11:45 p.m. He was part of a convoy of several vehicles which had left the Oise a few moments earlier.

Already a rave party last April

Last April, the organization of a rave party in Villers-sous-Saint-Leuin the south-east of the department, had been detected in advance by the authorities.

The police were able to be present at the party-goers' meeting place as soon as they arrived in order to carry out checks. The Prefecture had also issued an order to prohibit the circulation of vehicles transporting sound equipment, under penalty of exposing themselves to seizure of the equipment.
