Opposition elected officials from Trélazé are concerned about the projects carried out by Angers Loire Métropole concerning their municipality. According to West Francethe metropolis plans the construction of a penitentiary center with 850 places in Trélazé, a decision perceived by the opposition as sudden and without local consultation.

A piggyback project also contested
In addition to this prison center, Angers Loire Métropole is also planning the establishment of a piggyback platform in this commune in Maine-et-Loire. The opposition is concerned about the risks linked to the urbanization of an area classified as natural risks to install this infrastructure, which must cover 25 hectares with a planned capacity of 90,000 annual transshipments.
