“It’s really important to me to promote our beautiful profession”confides David Arslan, the director of the company specializing in facades in Moselle, PFF Façade.
This is how the business leader imagined and set up the PFF Academy a few years ago. It allows everyone to train in the profession of facade designer. As a reminder, there is no official state diploma recognizing this profession. The latest promotion of the PFF Academy, which welcomed 12 learners between February and May 2024, enabled PFF Façade to recruit 7 employees directly from the course.
Among them, Laura Lelièvre. The latter joined the company located in Norroy-le-Veneur and Luxembourg last September. “To my knowledge, she is the first woman in France to complete such training. What is certain is that this is a first in the Grand Est. This is an excellent thing for our profession which is accessible to everyone. Laura Lelièvre fits perfectly into the team and brings a different vision to our still very masculine environment,” rejoices David Arslan.
For the next promotion, which will be held between February and May 2025, the company has already received around fifty applications. “We pay attention to punctuality and the interpersonal skills of learners,” insists the manager of the company which employs 80 employees and has a turnover of 14 million euros.
David Arslan's dream today would be to have the profession of facade maker recognized by national education. “It’s a cumbersome procedure, but we are in advanced contact with several universities. » In these discussions, the leader can count on the support of employers' organizations such as EU 57 or Capeb Moselle, as well as local authorities.
