A nightmarish night, the psychological consequences of which are severe. This Monday, November 4, 2024 opens before the Nanterre Assize Court the trial of three men. They are on trial for having committed a home-jacking of rare violence in Boulogne-Billancourt in Hauts-de-Seine.
Trapped in his garage
One night in January 2020, the victim, a doctor, returned home around three in the morning, after treating patients in Seine-Saint-Denis. In his car, he enters the garage of his residence. He is followed by three individuals. They slipped behind him. The doctor gets out of his car, and the ordeal begins. The three men throw themselves at him, cut him to pieces, then beat him. The victim is threatened with a knife, then locked in the trunk of his small car.
From the latter, the attackers obtained the keys to his apartment. They then enter the home, and put a knife to the throat of the doctor's wife who is still asleep. They seized several valuable objects, and steal several thousand euros in cash before fleeing through the window. One of the thieves even leaves behind a 50 euro note.
Three authors identified
After the incident, the doctor was hospitalized. With several broken ribs, he is granted total incapacity for work for 10 days. On him and his family, the trauma caused by this violent theft is considerable. The attackers were not found immediately. After a careful investigation via telephone bills, three young men were identified and arrested after several months.
If one of them admits to having participated in a scouting a few days before the events, the other two deny any involvement in this affair. The three accused are on trial for extortion, kidnapping and kidnapping by organized gang. The trial is scheduled to last until Friday, November 8, 2024.
