And tragic accident happened this Sunday November 3, 2024around 7 p.m., on the RN13 near the town of Fresville (Manche).

Hit while crossing the road after an accident

Initially, a light vehicle, which was traveling in the Cherbourg–Caen direction, hit the safety rail, then a heavy goods vehicle.

The driver of the light vehicle then got out of it. After having tdamaged the center slidea car traveling in the Caen–Cherbourg direction hit him. On this portion, the vitesse is limited to 110 km/h.

The man, aged approximately 30 ans according to initial information from the emergency services, was declared deceased by the SMUR doctor.

The driver in shock

The driver who hit him was transported in shock to Pasteur hospital in Cherbourg. She is slightly injured.

The driver of the truck, aged 25, was unhurt. THE firefighters left him in charge of the gendarmerie.

Traffic is severely disrupted

At 8:50 p.m., many emergency services were still intervening to secure the scene. Traffic is severely disrupted: the RN13 is closed in the Caen–Cherbourg direction near the town of Fresville, according to information from Bison Futé.
