After weeks of construction, the renovation of Avenue Mabuse and the roundabout is nearing completion. Traffic returned to normal last Thursday.

After somewhat complicated weeks in terms of car traffic in the center of , we are finally announcing a return to normal. The Mabuse roundabout construction site is ending.

The mayor, Arnaud Decagny, attended the laying of the bitumen last Friday. This made it possible to reopen the roundabout to cars on Thursday evening.

Circulation maintained as much as possible

Traffic on the roundabout was ultimately only closed for one day. The rest of the time, a passage was continually maintained, even if this sometimes led to some irritation and misunderstanding.

An ideal location to welcome the market on Saturday morning and to return to the heavy traffic during school hours, from this Monday, November 4.

It's not all over, far from it, but the hardest part is done. The road is finished. From now on, the Lorban company, in charge of the site, will complete the renovation of the sidewalks. We will still have to take care of planting trees, installing street furniture and pouring deactivated concrete in the areas reserved for pedestrians, but the cars should be quiet.

Good news also for the traders on the avenue and the roundabout who have experienced some access difficulties in recent months and who are delighted to be returning to normal before the end-of-year holidays.
