the essential
An exceptional evening. This Sunday, November 10, Popita Events is transforming La Prade, in Pradines, into a pop-up club. Eight hours of non-stop mixing, with three DJs and a violinist. An event not to be missed.

A unique evening of its kind is coming to Pradines! On Sunday, November 10, the events agency Popita Events transforms La Prade into a real ephemeral club. On the program: unlimited , friendly atmosphere and one motto: have fun. “The Eclipse will shake up Pradines. We want to create an event!” enthuses Rémy Rouqual, associate director of the company.

For the occasion, La Prade is completely reinventing itself. Stage and stands will be removed to make way for a central platform, specially installed to accommodate the musicians. Three DJs and a violinist will perform from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. Eight hours of non-stop music, with an eclectic mix of House/Electro, Latin, Bailefunk and Urban Music sounds (fr rap, us rap, afrobeat, shatta). “There will be plenty of other surprises,” promises Rémy Rouqual. Headlining the evening, DJ Eyox, a resident followed by thousands of fans on social networks and who attracts crowds to each of his sets. He will be accompanied by his brother, DJ Kaidy, and violinist Ismaël Bonnemère. “The three of them are going to put on a show,” explains Rémy, leaving the mystery hanging. Will they go on stage at the same time? Nothing is impossible, you will have to be there to find out. In the first part, Lotois DJ Hugo GRD will warm up the room.

“What I love is making people dance”

“At first, I was a trombonist then I played drums,” laughs DJ Cadurcien. He continues: “I have a real passion for all sound equipment. Then, I started making music in the evening, for my friends' birthdays for example.” In 2022, Hugo meets Simon, associate director of Popita. It was there that he took on the role of DJ, while keeping his sales position at Mémé du Quercy.

“What I love is making people dance. At the beginning, no one moves too much then at the end, there is an explosive atmosphere! It's a real pleasure. People sometimes ask me if I haven't I don't want to go down and dance with the others but not really”, smiles the young man. The DJ has already prepared his set for the Eclipse, while leaving room to adapt it live according to the audience, a flexibility gained with experience. For the occasion, he will mix three hours non-stop, a set designed to gradually build up the pressure. “The idea is to introduce our musical universe and transport the public,” he explains. And a three-hour mix is the perfect amount of time for that.

For DJ Cadurcien, the evening at La Prade is not to be missed. “It’s unheard of in Cahors. We don’t have events like that here. It will bring the city back to life,” he says. While waiting for this evening, Hugo oscillates between his day job and his night job. He pursues his passion for music. And why not create your own music one day? “For the past year, I've been making my own remixes. I keep them for myself, but sometimes I throw them out in the evening. Making music and DJing are not the same. I have a lot of ideas, but I'm having trouble finishing it. That's my goal for the summer of 2025,” concludes Hugo. By then, the people of Lot will already be able to find him for the Eclipse.

500 places available for the evening. Two thirds are already reserved. Online ticketing can be found here. Price: 20 euros. Prohibited to minors.
