Less than a week after this tragedy which occurred in Saint-Cyr-l'École (Yvelines), a man, aged 28, was indicted for murder on Thursday in Versailles, before being imprisoned. He is suspected of having stabbed his lover, Hector, with thirty-five stab wounds on October 24 in an apartment on rue Ernest Bizet.
It was 7 p.m. this Thursday evening when “Abdel” alerted the emergency services after making a macabre discovery. A patrol goes to the scene, followed by “crime” police officers. This first witness explains that he had not heard from Hector, his ex-roommate. He decided to go see how he was doing, specifies a source close to the matter. And he got in without difficulty because he had kept a spare key.” And then discovered the victim, half naked, lying like a dog in the shower tray.
His body is larded with blades. The remains of this short, dark-haired man, aged 55, were taken to the Garches forensic institute (Hauts-de-Seine) to undergo an autopsy. The doctor concludes that several wounds caused his death. The blade punctured the aorta, heart, lungs and trachea. According to initial findings, the accommodation is in great disorder and significant traces of blood stain the bedroom. The murder weapon is not there and the murderer closed the door when leaving the premises with the keys.
The investigators from the criminal brigade then look into the entourage of the fifty-year-old. Hector was born in Guatemala but was of Spanish nationality. He was unemployed. But initial research shows that he was once the manager of an IT company based in the town. A company now closed. Hector had suffered from depression since learning two years earlier that he had contracted AIDS. “His ex-roommate confirms that he liked to dress in women's clothes,” specifies a source close to the matter.
He shared his daily life with a young man who lives not far away. This boy is quickly identified. The neighborhood investigation confirmed that the boyfriend was in the area at the time of the crime. He was arrested on Tuesday October 29 at his home in Plaisir. This Algerian national, in an irregular situation, is unknown to the police. Placed in police custody in Versailles, during the hearings, he confirmed that he was sometimes Hector's lover, but denied having killed him.
The large number of blows suffered by the victim suggests that it was at least a crime tinged with strong emotion.
