Promote its missions independently of hunting. This is the ambition of the Departmental Federation of Dordogne Hunters (FDC 24) which has published a booklet on this subject. Entitled ''Discover nature with us'', this 15-page booklet allows you to have another look at the institution.
“We wanted to present the missions assigned to us on the species, spaces and environments of Dordogne”explains Laëtitia Deville, director of FDC 24. The structure's bias is to direct its communication towards the young audience with whom it has already been working for a long time.
An immersion in a school environment
These interventions are free for schools. “They are not intended to make these students hunters, quite the contrary. In addition, the speakers are trained professionals”specifies Marie Auclère, nature educator.
This promotion strategy was concretely illustrated on Friday October 11, with an intervention in a 3rd grade class at the Annesse-et-Beaulieu college. A game of cards allowed students to study the interdependence of species.
