The Bucherer house, with its heritage of more than 135 years, has always been keen to encourage and support young talents, particularly in the creation of exceptional jewelry pieces. It was therefore quite natural that the meeting between Antonio Teixeria, director of the Bucherer boutique in Geneva, and Richard Carbonnelle, head of the jewelry section of the Arts Professional Training Center, took place. Together, they set up the Bucherer Fine Jewelery competition, of which this is the 2e edition this year. This aims to promote the jewelry professions by rewarding young talents in this last year of training.

The brooch made by Fanny Lienhard is set with a 12.42-carat cushion-cut kunzite and 750 diamonds.

The jury, made up of players from the trading industry and the press, including “La Tribune des Arts”, chose three files from among all those presented. Only the winner has the privilege of producing their piece within the school. It is the work of the young Fanny Lienhard which has attracted the greatest number of people. It must be said that her brooch, Sparkling Star, with a 12.42-carat cousin-cut kunzite at its heart, a stone of spirituality par excellence, is divine. The jewel is also set with 750 diamonds. He received a wide ovation during a cocktail party given in honor of its creator, Fanny Lienhard, at the Bucherer boutique on rue du Rhône, in Geneva, Thursday May 30.
