Seated in the restaurant Ô Petit club Africain in , Julie Dupont proudly puts on her miss's scarf around her sequinned top. Originally from Hauts-de-Seine, she was crowned on October 12, 2024, and will represent Île-de- in the Miss France 2025 competition. At 26 years old, she fully enjoyst the change that his election brought to his daily life.

Puteaux, the “city of heart” of Miss Île-de-France

A trained journalist, Julie Dupont begins her higher education in the United States, where she lived with her parents since 2016. Back in France, she continues his training in Paris, and returns to live in the heart of La Défense, in Puteaux, “my city of heart”, she smiles.

At the end of her course, she is hired by Webedialocated in Levallois-Perret, where she works as a camera operator, editor and journalist. “Video has always been my passion,” she confides. “My dream? To have my own show of investigative journalism.

A unique Miss journey

“I started participating in Miss competitions in 2022,” says the woman who has often been first runner-up without ever reaching first place. It was only in 2024, after several attempts, that she took the first step and finally put on Miss Île-de-France's scarf. “I said to myself: finally! », she exclaims with a big smile.

Since the election, “my life has changed”she confides. Between TV sets, photo shoots and obligatory meetings, Julie Dupont had to stand back from her duties at Webedia, where she is on a permanent contract. “My superiors were very understanding,” she assures.

Unfailing family support

“Historically, Île-de-France is a region that votes littleshe explains, especially in comparison with -Pas-de- or the overseas departments, which support their representative every year.” Thus, she hopes to attract voices from all over Franceeven if she admits, laughing, to having “never voted in a Miss France election”.

For the occasion, his parents and his little sister, who still live across the Atlanticwill come to support her during this final stage. “Since the beginning of my adventure in the miss contestthey encourage me and attend the elections,” she rejoices.

Next meeting, Ivory Coast, where she will find the national committee and the other regional winners. The big competition will take place on December 14, and Julie Dupont hopes follow in the footsteps of Diane Leyre, last representative of Île-de-France to have been elected Miss France.
