Since last year's floods, the State has been mobilizing resources to combat the phenomenon between emergency measures and longer-term projects.
An envelope of more than 155 million has been allocated to support local authorities, for urgent works, repairing damage and structuring works. Nearly 17 million euros have been allocated for people affected by the floods, including rehousing and the acquisition of damaged homes.
Since last year's events, emergency operations have been carried out on rivers, on roads and even in schools. Structural works aim to facilitate flow, retain water and protect property.

Between October 21 and 28, the Prefect of Pas-de-Calais met with elected officials and collectives. Everyone was able to make suggestions. This is the case of Natacha Bouchart, Mayor of Calais, who is demanding a minimum of 6 million euros to renew all of the pumps for discharge into the sea.
The studies should be delivered by the watering institutions before next summer.
The prefect is vigilant about the processing of files by insurance companies, 13% of which have not yet been settled one year later. He announced the creation of a tool for disaster victims' groups so that they can bring forward proposals and concrete situations.
Even if many actions have been carried out, the Prefect of Pas-de-Calais recognizes that they are not yet sufficient. 75 new operations are underway or ready to begin and 50 others are planned.
