This Sunday, October 27, the various associations for safeguarding the small heritage of Cressensac-Sarrazac, Gignac, Cuzance and Lachapelle-Auzac organized the first edition of a 61 km hiking loop to discover the northern causse of the department. Sections of around 8 km within everyone's reach were offered, departures and arrivals were free, each walker planned their own stage.
For Sarrazac, there are forty-seven hikers who left the Moulin d'Antoine, either to make a loop: Branty, Valeyrac, Plachamp, the path of the gnomes, the Gacherie, descent towards Sarrazac and return to the Saint-Jean Hospital …some people visited Notre Dame des Neiges and enjoyed the view of the village. Either to reach Cuzance via Palmeyssou, or Cressensac via the Causse.
For Cressensac, departures were from the Neyragues oven where the volunteers had baked bread. Many walkers enjoyed this refreshment point around midday. The supply of the Saint-Jean Hospital was ensured by four very friendly volunteers.
This walking day will be repeated next year. Based on feedback, the few imperfections will be corrected.
