Champagnole & Region. Great national cause of 2025: the Communities of Communes CNJ and APS commit to the subject of mental health | Weekly 39

A subject which has become democratized, surveys and statistics confusing, psychological distress now affects 48% of employees (+4 points in one year), including 17% very high, according to the 12th barometer from the firm Empreinte Human made with OpinionWay. Faced with this observation, numerous initiatives are emerging to raise awareness of mental health issues in the professional environment.

An evening dedicated to mental health

This event was part of the Mental Health Information Weeks (SISM), in partnership with the Local Health Contract supported by the Communities of Communes of Champagnole-Nozeroy Jura and Arbois Poligny Salins – Cœur du Jura, as well as than the ARS. Around thirty participants were present to discuss the subject.

The theme was approached through the prism of sport and its benefits. Charles Jacques, psychotherapist and Mental Health First Aid trainer, sought to deconstruct the stereotypes associated with mental health, by sharing advice for maintaining good “mental fitness”. Ludovic Lecomte, president of the APESA39 association and vice-president of the Commercial Court, highlighted the resources available to economic actors in order to detect the first signs of psychological distress.

Feedback from local experiences was also presented that evening. Olivier Chapuis, director of the Precijura company, illustrated the actions implemented within his structure, such as cycling outings, caving or skiing sessions after work.
As for the Diager company, the co-manager of the L'Entracte performance hall in Poligny offers sports sessions during employees' lunch breaks. The Siel Bleu association, for its part, organizes sports sessions for farmers in the Nozeroy region, an initiative considered very positive.

In short, all participants are unanimous: it is essential to deconstruct the prejudices surrounding mental health. Activities like sport can play a key role in relaxing and improving well-being, both personally and professionally.

The interactive and friendly format of the evening encouraged open discussions, extended around a buffet dinner in a warm atmosphere.
