Three young people aged 22 to 24 were shot and injured, one aged 22 was seriously hit in the head, in the parking lot located in front of the nightclub “Le Seven” in Saint-Péray (Ardèche) in the night from Thursday to Friday. The latter's vital prognosis is in jeopardy. There had been no arrests at midday in this investigation, indicated the Privas prosecutor's office, confirming information from France Blue.
Several shots were fired in this parking lot around 2:30 a.m. A 22-year-old young man, originally from Romans-sur-Isère and who plays for the Rugby club Romanais Péageois (where the young Thomas killed in Crépol a year ago also played, editor's note), was seriously injured in the head. A 24-year-old young woman was injured in the leg and a second 22-year-old young man was hit by bullet fragments in one leg. All three were treated by emergency services and transported to hospital.
A hooded shooter on the run
The police carried out investigations at the scene. The 800 customers were confined in the establishment during the intervention of the police. A bullet hole found on a parked vehicle suggests that the shooter used a 9 mm caliber weapon. According to the first elements, the hooded author opened fire on customers who were in front of the night establishment, in the queue, with motivations still unknown. At this time, we do not know if the three victims were targeted by this shooter.
The investigation was entrusted to the Organized and Specialized Crime Division (DCOS) of Valencia. The police will notably use video surveillance images from the site and question witnesses.
