Santiago's mother, the infant who had been kidnapped Monday October 21 and found four days later, appeared before the Dutch judge at 11:15 a.m. this Friday November 1, BFMTV learned from a source close to the case.
According to our information, she accepted the accelerated procedure. She should be back by “next weekend.”
The parents were found in the Netherlands on Friday October 25 with the infant. Three other adults and two children were discovered in the same hotel room. They were kept in pre-trial detention in Amsterdam, with a view to being handed over.
The parents saw the prosecutor on October 28, who notified them of their arrest warrant and asked their opinion on their surrender to France. Both parents had agreed to be handed over to France. The Netherlands then had ten days to hand over the couple to the French authorities.
