Since January 1, 2024, French communities have been required to provide a composter to residents who have a garden. Thus, at the end of October, the Charente-Maritime department reminded its users that they could come and collect equipment from the technical center of the Royan Atlantique agglomeration community.

Finally, she states that these pests only settle near composters which are not maintained. To avoid attracting them, it is recommended to place waste sorting equipment in a ventilated area of the garden, where rodents cannot hide.
