The accident took place on the RD747, in the direction La Roche-sur-Yon – La Tranche-sur-Mer, in the department of Vendée, according to information fromActu.fr.
Even if the circumstances of the accident are not yet known, two cars and a utility vehicle collided violently at the beginning of the afternoon, according to emergency services dispatched to the scene.
A four-year-old girl and a woman in absolute emergency
The collision between the three vehicles was so violent that four people were seriously injured. Thus, a four-year-old child and a thirty-year-old woman were treated in an absolute emergency. The little girl was airlifted to Nantes hospital, while the woman was transported to La Roche-sur-Yon hospital, in a medical vehicle.
A 54-year-old woman and a 53-year-old man were also injured in this collision. In relative emergency, the two fifty-year-olds were taken care of before being transported to La Roche-sur-Yon hospital. In total, sixteen firefighters were mobilized on site. They all depended on the emergency centers of Nieul-le-Dolent, La Roche-sur-Yon, La Tranche-sur-Mer, Moutiers-les-Mauxfaits and Avrillé.
