Alstom France has a new boss

Frédéric Wiscart succeeds Jean-Baptiste Eyméoud, who led the French entity of the industrialist for nine years, currently facing numerous production delays.

After nine years at the head of Alstom , Jean-Baptiste Eyméoud will hand over to Frédéric Wiscart in November.

The latter was until then Managing Director of Arabelle Solutions, which is part of the EDF group. “He brings with him extensive leadership experience, having held important positions at GE Power and the former Alstom Power. His recognized experience in leading organizations and project-structured activities will be an important asset for Alstom.” , we can read in a press release.

A first since 1995, the SNCF will release a new TGV in On the Road to Tomorrow – 11/11

Frédéric Wiscart is a graduate of the École Polytechnique and the National School of Bridges and Roads.

“Frédéric’s extensive experience and strong track record in business leadership make him an excellent choice to lead Alstom France,” said Henri Poupart-Lafarge, CEO of Alstom.

TGV M

For his part, Jean-Baptiste Eyméoud has decided to leave the industrial sector. “His contribution to the development of Alstom has been decisive, notably at the head of the France region, where he played a key role in the advent of the new generation of TGV M, which will shape the mobility landscape for decades to come”, continues Henri Poupart-Lafarge.

Frédéric Wiscart's number one challenge will certainly be to resolve the production problems of new Alstom trains which are causing significant delivery delays in many important contracts: TGV M for SNCF Voyageurs, new RER for Ile-de-France Mobilité , new metros, regional trains for Transdev in the south-east, to name but a few.

Moreover, this is an objective clearly stated by Henri Poupart-Lafarge: “I am convinced that, under his leadership, Alstom France will continue the operational progress made in recent years and will contribute significantly to our mission of developing solutions for innovative and sustainable mobility.
