Four restaurants from the Nord and Pas-de-Calais will be in the spotlight during the broadcasts on Tuesday October 29 and Thursday October 31.

Tuesday October 29:

  • A family resemblance in Marquette-lez-Lille

Didier and Justin are father and son and opened this estaminet together 5 years ago: a dream for them, which almost turned into a nightmare. Just after the opening, Didier suffered two strokes. Forced to slow down, he has no choice but to trust Justin, then inexperienced, to save the restaurant. A huge challenge that Justin, who until then had been delivering medical oxygen, took on. To save his father's dream, he did not hesitate to put on his apron and learn the recipes for typical northern dishes traditionally served in estaminets. Beyond the Flemish carbonade, back on his feet, Didier passed on to Justin many recipes such as the welsh or the famous maroilles tart and the essential potjevleesh for which they received an award of excellence. In 5 years, father and son have conquered the hearts of local gourmands who fill the 80-seat room every day which is managed by Myriam, Justin's mother.

  • The Belfry Table in Boulogne-sur-Mer

Married and parents of two children, Perrine and Thomas first had a business in the countryside, but they wanted to get closer to the sea! It was in 2020 that the opportunity presented itself to take over this restaurant, a local institution since 1900 and, immediately, the gourmands of Boulogne responded! Today, with Thomas in the kitchen and Perrine in the dining room to pamper their regular customers, their restaurant is a success. On the menu, gourmet and generous dishes from the region that change with the seasons and the chef's desires, such as the fish waterzoi which delights customers!

Thursday October 31:

  • La Ch'tite Brigitte in Lille

In this essential estaminet in Old Lille, we find Clément, owner and manager for 4 years, and Etienne, who manages the kitchen. In the dining room, François-Joseph completes the stellar team of this estaminet where local products are showcased, through regional specialties such as Flemish carbonade, potjevleesch, or the emblematic Welsh.

Hubert is a purebred “ch'timi”, a native of Bergues who opened this estaminet two years ago when he had no experience in catering. After 25 years in the automobile industry, Hubert transformed, with the help of his wife and friends, a premises which until then had served as a storage room into a real estaminet with 40 seats. Both in the dining room and in the kitchen, he can count on the help of his second in command, Manu. Hubert concocts the northern dishes of his childhood, such as potjevleesch, or even Flemish carbonade. Beyond the kitchen, Hubert succeeded in making his restaurant a place where friends and customers come to have a good time, and sometimes play the typical games of old estaminets, in a good mood.

Friday, November 1, the 4 restaurateurs who win their duel will compete in the semi-final then in the final over 2 events.
