This Friday, May 31, 2024, the Olympic flame will cross the Channel, from Cherbourg to Mont Saint-Michel, via Saint-Vaast-la-Hougue, Saint-Lô, Sainte-Mère-Église, Granville and Villedieu-les-Poêles -Rouffigny.

An event that promises to be festive, with numerous organized activities, in addition to the passing of the flame. And the icing on the cake: the day should be rather sunny.

Sun all day

Departure should be at 8:20 a.m. in Cherbourg. A beautiful sun should accompany the flame bearers in the morning, according to Météo France, with 14°C expected.

Then head to Saint-Vaast-la-Hougue, with a passage scheduled for 9 a.m. There too, the sun is out in the morning, with 13°C expected. Still bring a little wool: there should be gusts of wind, which can go up to 40 km/h.

The flame should arrive in Saint-Lô at 11:20 a.m. Still no rain but sunny spells all day, with temperatures ranging from 13°C in the morning to 16°C in the afternoon.

Then meet at 12:25 p.m. at Sainte-Mère-Église. The weather will be clear, with temperatures between 15°C in the morning and 18°C ​​in the afternoon.

A few gusts of wind

In the afternoon, the flame will stop at Granville, around 3:05 p.m. If here too, the sky will be blue, watch out for gusts of wind: Météo France predicts gusts of 50 km/h. Temperatures will be mild, with 17°C expected.

In Villedieu-les-Poêles-Rouffigny, the flame should arrive at 4:10 p.m. As in Granville, the sun will be present, with a mercury around 15°C, and a few gusts of wind.

Finally, the highlight of the show will be at Mont Saint-Michel, from 6:20 p.m. No surprise: here too, the weather will be sunny, with temperatures around 16°C in the afternoon. The wind will also be there, with some peaks at 50 km/h.
