Météo France placed Bas-Rhin on yellow thunderstorm alert this Thursday, May 30. Contacted by News StrasbourgChristophe Mertz, meteorologist at Atmo-Risk, gives us his forecasts for the days to come.

Thunderstorms possible at the end of the day

Nothing to fear for Thursday afternoon.

You will have to wait until 6 p.m., or even 8 p.m., for the first stormy showers to appear, and this in a sustained manner.

They can continue until 10 p.m., according to Christophe Mertz.

No flood, no hail, no gust of wind

That being said, “no particular or severe phenomenon is envisaged”, announces the specialist.

It also raises the absence of risk of flooding, hail or gusts of wind.

Rain expected this weekend

After 10 p.m. this Thursday, the storms will calm down. However, “some scattered rain will persist,” announces Mr. Mertz.

The precipitation will then continue for the rest of the week.

For Friday and the weekend, the weather will remain very cloudy with more showers.

Good weather ahead

For next week, the rain should stop falling in Bas-Rhin according to Météo France. THE good weather is it likely to settle down?

“Good weather is perhaps a little optimistic, but let’s say there will be fewer showers from Monday onwards,” says the meteorologist. “There will still be a few clouds during the week,” adds the latter.

Good weather will wait until the end of next week according to Mr. Mertz’s forecasts.
