We see more and more emerging accommodation with the option solidarity, which combine economic advantage and warm encounters. After the White Butterflies and the inclusive housing project in Lille-Fives, these are the Domitys senior residences who are looking for their future benevolent occupants. Against… a rent of 0 €. This is the principle of the “Générations Part’ages” program: a free accommodation is provided to a studentin exchange for time spent with seniors.

Six Domitys senior service residences have adopted this concept of intergenerational cohabitation in the Nord Pas de Calais. At the end of May, they opened registrations for the 2024-2025 school year, to students, therefore.

In exchange for 15 hours per week with seniors, a studio or 2 rooms to occupy for free

In detail, here is the project: “In exchange for an average of 15 hours of time spent alongside residents, distributed according to the student’s schedule and availability, the latter can occupy an apartment (studio or 2 rooms ) fully equipped and furnished without having to pay rent or charges. » Rather tempting!

That’s not all, the student accommodated free of charge will be able to take advantage of the facilities of the residence, such as the gym and the swimming pool. And this throughout his entire year of study.
