Sédhiou, May 29 (APS) – The Committee for Support and Support for Economic and Social Development (CASADES), in collaboration with the Konrad Adenauer Foundation, closed a capacity building workshop on Wednesday in Sédhiou (south). of two days, organized to raise awareness among young entrepreneurs in the region about the employment opportunities offered by digital technology, noted the APS.

“The workshop made it possible to discuss with young entrepreneurs the employment opportunities offered by digital technology, a constantly evolving field, offering new professional perspectives,” said Fatoumata Sy Guèye, program manager at the Konrad Foundation Adenauer.

She was speaking during the closing ceremony of the training session for young entrepreneurs on digital opportunities, at Sédhiou town hall.

“Participants also explored the challenges associated with the use of digital technology, particularly in terms of legislation, mastery of tools and job creation,” added Ms. Guèye.

Digital technology is at the heart of all economic and social activities, she argued, stressing that it offers real business opportunities to young entrepreneurs.

The executive director of CASADES, Bassa Diawara insisted on the contribution of digital technology to business activities. “The observation is clear, digital technology opens up new job niches,” he said.

“Even in remote areas, young entrepreneurs can now market their products and services online, without wasting time or putting in enormous effort,” noted Mr. Diawara.

He explained that the aim is to shift young entrepreneurs towards a faster and more efficient digital entrepreneurship model.

“Digital technology thus becomes an essential lever for economic growth and the resilience of young entrepreneurs,” he said.

The executive director of CASADES magnified this workshop which made it possible to raise awareness among the young people of Sédhiou about the opportunities and challenges of digital technology, thus preparing them to meet the challenges of modern entrepreneurship.
