Île-aux-Tourtes Bridge: nighttime closure towards Montreal

The Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility would like to inform the population that slab repair work, as part of maintaining the Île-aux-Tourtes bridge, will require a nighttime closure in the east direction (towards Montreal). from May 31 to June 1. No further closures are planned on the bridge over the weekend.

Traffic management

  • Complete closure of Highway 40 eastbound, between exit no. 35 – Vaudreuil-sur-le-Lac/Vaudreuil-Dorion/Av. St-Charles and the entrance from Boulevard des Anciens-Combattants, from Friday, May 31, at 11 p.m., to Saturday, June 1, at 8 a.m.

Detour routes will be marked with temporary signage.

Note that the bridge will remain open in the west direction (towards Vaudreuil-Dorion) during this period.

Work could be postponed due to adverse weather conditions or operational constraints. Therefore, before hitting the road, it is recommended to consult Québec 511, a practical tool for properly planning your trips.
