Richard-Toll, May 29 (APS) – Ismaïla Seck of the Richard-Toll drafts club was crowned Tuesday champion of the first edition of the Northern Zone Friendship tournament, organized by the drafts league of Louga.

This tournament brought together 16 participants, including 11 representatives from the Louga region, 6 from the commune of Saint-Louis and one from the commune of Richard-Toll.

The representative of the sugar capital of Senegal, who emerged victorious from the tournament, welcomed the support of his teammates. ”I received the support of all the members of the Richard-Toll Checkers Club, whether financially or morally. Which really motivated me to do everything to win this trophy,” said Ismaïla Seck.

He dedicated this coronation to the entire club of the sugar town.

The mission was very difficult, due to a lack of time, competition and the necessary materials for proper preparation, he said. He says he knew how to arm himself with courage and will to win this first trophy.

Ibrahima Diamanka, a member of the club, invites the authorities to invest more in this discipline and to strengthen the subsidy allocated to players.

Ismaila Seck was champion of the department of Dagana and the commune of Richard Toll. He finished 3rd in the regional rankings and 16th in the last national checkers tournament.
