Financially supported citizen initiatives

The Lévis Community Development Corporation (CDC) announced on May 22 the granting of financial aid to four citizen initiative projects.

This aid comes as part of the Support Program for Citizen Initiatives. The activity proposals are intended for anyone wishing to take part.

First, the Neighborhood Festival at Parc du Paysan, which will take place on June 1 in the Saint-Romuald sector, received an amount of $5,500.

The Roc-Pointe Neighborhood Festival, which will also be held on June 1 between rue de l’Étoile, de la Timonerie and du Sextant as well as at the rue de l’Étoile park in the Saint-Nicolas sector, is entitled financial assistance of $10,000.

Then, $9,250 is donated for the Neighborhood Festival on rue du Meunier, which is scheduled for June 8 in the Saint-Jean-Chrysostome sector.

Also on June 8, the Beaurivage River Festival and the cleaning chore in Ludger-Bastien Park in the Saint-Étienne sector were offered an amount of $8,980.

La Ruche de Saint-Romuald (Youth House), the Maison de la Famille Chutes-Chaudière and the 121st Saint-Étienne scout group supported these citizen committees in the planning and implementation of these initiatives.

Finally, the City of Lévis has reserved a financial envelope to support the implementation of initiatives having a positive and lasting impact for the Lévis community.
