La Secabr (Society for the Study of Ancient Civilizations of the Bas-Rhodan) announces the publication of a new issue of its journal.
The third issue of Rhodanie of the year, number 171, has just been published. The Secabr review (Society for the Study of Ancient Bas-Rhodanian Civilizations) presents, as always, a wide variety of subjects. Thus, an article is devoted to Martin of Tours, the most celebrated saint of the Middle Ages. In the Gard, twenty-six places are under his patronage, including Saint-Martin-de-Jussan in Tresques. Simone Cardona deciphers the sculpted motifs and completes them with the works of the artists who illustrated the life of the saint and his legend.

Also in the summary, Gérard Bressieux describes the fate of the Spaniards from 1934 to 1945: after their “Retirada” to flee Franco's exactions, their confinement in unworthy camps, their contribution to the French economy, their role in the Resistance… During this time time, the Gestapo was cracking down against these Spaniards and against the French Resistance fighters, including Gardoise Lucette Choisy and eight other of her companions, whose incredible and perilous journey the author Marilyne Andréo follows.
