Gypsies – The Musical, new musical creation 2025, is on view from January 10 to April 6 at the Théâtre Libre in the 10th arrondissement of Paris. THE spectacle highlights gypsy music, plunging the viewer into a love triangle.
In this new spectacle musical, Tiago, a young gypsy, finds himself drawn into an altercation while defending Nadia, a gadji, against thugs during an outing with his friends. From this meeting an intense passion is born between them, but Tiago faces a major dilemma: he must marry Sara in a week. Obviously, throughout the plot of Gypsies – The Musical, the gypsy music is in the spotlight at the Théâtre Libre.
But what is gypsy culture? There culture gyspy is marked by nomadic traditions and a deep attachment to family and community. Distinguished by its music Vibrant, dynamic dances, and colorful crafts, gypsy culture continues to influence music, dance, and art across the world, as the new show shows us Gypsies – The Musical.
Musically, gypsy music is often played with instruments such as guitar, violin and accordion, with Spanish, Balkan and Oriental influences. The new creation Gypsies – The Musical, presented at the Théâtre Libre, is inspired by the strong oral tradition of the gypsies, transmitting their history and customs through stories and songs.
