More than 60 people, including Alexandre Bermand, regional councilor, deputy mayor of Tarascon, and Joëlle Eychenne, departmental councilor, were gathered for the VO2max general assembly.
New members, R. Bauer and JP Dignat, joined the Trail Club office for the occasion, alongside President Julien Augé and his team. Two of their four major partners, N. Alberto, “Le Mijoteur” and PF Dupin, “Weldom” were there too, the Sesta and Camping du Sedour being excused.
The results drawn up show an excellent season, with, among other things, the participant record broken for the two races organized by the club. 500 participants in the Corrida as during the Trail du Pic des Trois Seigneurs. The financial results are good and VO2max can look to the future with peace of mind. The Pic des Trois Seigneurs trail will be held at the beginning of July 2025, with, we promise, more bibs available. These sports and nature enthusiasts also decided to think about the impact of racing on the environment. Actions will be taken during races, but not only that, to combine “race” and “protection”.
But the big news, which is getting people talking about VO2max at the start of autumn, is the organization of the Beille Trail, a white trail organized in partnership with the community of communes of Haute-Ariège. This will take place on January 5, 2025 at the Beille plateau and will include two courses. Registrations will be open in the coming weeks.
