General principles of “Risk co’tour PACA”?

Building on the success of the first edition of the RISK CO’TOUR which was held between November 7 and December 4, 2023, DREAL PACA, AFPCNT and the regional network of CPIE PACA are organizing the second edition of this awareness tour from June to November 2024.

The principle remains the same, namely a traveling circuit dedicated to raising awareness among young people, mainly middle school students, about major natural and technological risks (flood, forest fire, earthquake, industrial accident).

Regional mobilization

This regional event is part of the spirit of the National Resilience Day (JNR) on October 13.

This operation, called “RISK CO’TOUR PACA”, aims to organize a day in each of the six departments during which middle school students will be invited to participate in various educational workshops on risk culture and preventive information. More than 1000 middle school students will be made aware and put in situations in order to develop their awareness, their active involvement and their reflexes in the face of major risks.

The first stage will be organized on June 4 at the Collège des Garçins located in the town of Briançon.

A multi-partner action

Local actors in the territory (DDTM, Prefecture, SDIS, local authorities) will also be mobilized to ensure animation within the proposed workshops.
Games, online quizzes, flood simulators (car door and garage door), information, exhibitions, models… will be there so that everyone can know the risks to which they may be exposed and know how to better prepare for them!

The Regional Union of Permanent Centers for Environmental Initiatives of PACA (URCPIE) is associated as a technical partner for logistics implementation.

The schedule of upcoming meetings

For the second edition, the other stages validated to date will take place on:

  • October 17 in Isle sur la Sorgue (84) at the Jean BOUIN college
  • November 15 in Saint Cyr sur Mer (83) at the Romain BLÂCHE college
  • November 19 in Velaux (13) at ROQUEPERTUSE college
