This is the outcome of a case which put Paudex in turmoil for nearly five months. Meeting urgently on Monday, the Municipal Council accepted by 23 yes, 7 no, 2 blank votes and 1 null, by secret ballot, the acquisition of the Bordinette 8 building, housing the Café de Paudex, at a price of 2.1 million francs. Thanks to its right of pre-emption, the Municipality therefore snatches the property right under the noses of the potential buyers, a family from the village.
