A trip to the heart of the Causses du Quercy – Le Petit Journal

Let the festivities begin … Credits:

From May 9 to 18, the Parc des Causses du Quercy and IPAMAC (association of Parcs du Massif central) organized a major crossing of the Causses du Quercy: a 10-day, 150 km hike, between Gintrac and Caylus, following several GRs in the Lot. For ten days, the 400 participants traveled the winding paths of the causses, crossing a mosaic of landscapes. Each stage was an opportunity to discover the richness of the Causses du Quercy Regional Natural Park, to meet people involved in the life of the area, while enjoying moments of conviviality around shared lunches and artistic interventions. On arrival, the Fusées collective which imagined this event, presented some extracts from the productions produced during this great crossing. Photos, sound recordings, drawings, writings collected along the way, bear witness to this beautiful human and artistic adventure. Beyond the artistic aspect, the transhumance was also a moment of sharing on the future of the Park territory and the challenges it is and will face. The proposals and discussions were carefully collected in order to fuel consultation with a view to renewing the Park charter. In the opinion of all, artists, walkers, speakers, lecturers, the Transhumance around 2042 was a real success, thanks to the involvement of all the participants, the host communities and the Fusées collective team. The consultation continues, residents and local stakeholders are still invited to express their perceptions and expectations for the Park of tomorrow on www.parc-causses-du-quercy.fr/revision
