Work at the School of Trades
In 2021, the Gers School of Trades installed a branch dedicated to construction trades in a former tobacco factory in the priority Garros district. It is in the former premises of the gendarmerie that the multidisciplinary medical center opened its doors in 2017. In a sector where medical support tends to become rare, the health professionals who set up there quickly found their patients. .
In September, work began on an extension of this equipment in former garages located nearby. The Region, which has been mobilizing for more than 10 years to support the development of multi-professional homes and health centers, is participating in the project alongside the Val de Gers community of municipalities with aid of €36,000.
In the spring, a meeting room, as well as four consultation rooms, one of which will be equipped for teleconsultations, should be delivered. These new premises will make it possible to accommodate specialists who will consult in addition to existing professionals: three general practitioners, the nursing service, as well as various paramedical services (podology, psychology, speech therapy, etc.).

Planting an agroforestry system
