The Balad’Oc festival will be held Friday May 31 and Saturday June 1 in Tulle: conference, visits, festive evenings around the Occitan language.

Friday and Saturday, it will be like a celebration of the Occitan language and Tullist heritage. The 9th edition of the Balad’Oc festival returns with, this year, the support and complicity of the Cité de l’accordéon et des patrimoines.
The opening of the Tullist museum makes it possible to offer a renewed program for this event. But for one of the co-organizers, Josiane Brassac-Dijoux, the ambition remains the same: “Highlight the industrial, musical and linguistic heritage of the Tulle region”.

The language of our ancestors

Five major events are offered to the public. In fact, five highlights.
Visit to the arms manufacturing course. It will be Friday May 31 at 10 a.m., at the museum, in the presence of former Manu employees. Tour in French and Occitan.
Festive evening of Occitan workshops. Friday from 4:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the media library with Occitan workshops from Lot, Dordogne and Corrèze… Songs, stories, nhòrlas. A documentary by Gabriel Chantelauze will be screened.
Gathering for teaching and transmission. Saturday June 1st in front of the accordion city with the presence of the association Pour que viscan nostras lengas (For our languages ​​to live).
Visit to the museum’s accordion trail. From 2:30 p.m., at the museum, tour in French and Occitan of the accordion course, followed at 3:30 p.m. by a conference on the accordion, the cabrette and the chabrette with musicians from the Auvergnatus group
Festive evening, ball with initiation. From 7 p.m. in the Latreille room, an initiation ball with the group La Galoche de Condat.
From 9 p.m., dance with the Auvergnatus group (10 euros) with light meals on site. not
